Lexington UMC offers a Sunday School for people of all ages! All are welcome to join us and find a class to join. Check out any of our classes below. Sunday School starts around 9:45 am and our classes meet throughout the building.
LUMC staff and volunteers in Children and Youth Ministries are trained to follow Safe Sanctuaries policies.
Children – Meet in Children’s Hall in Main Building
Join us for Children’s Sunday School from 10 am to 10:45 am (drop off begins at 9:45 am). Children are together for 15 minutes of music, then enter into grouped classes. We currently offer our younger class (4k-2nd) and older class (3rd-5th) during the school year and one-room Sunday School during the summer. We follow the Illustrated Ministries’ lectionary-based curriculum as we wonder and grow together in God. For more information regarding Children’s Sunday School, contact Heather Connor.
Youth – Meet Downstairs in Ministry Center – Youth Room
All students in both middle and high school are welcome to join us in the Youth room weekly for our Sunday School. Youth Pastor Todd Handell as well as other volunteers teaching using “Orange” Curriculum, which places an emphasis on the church and home coming together to create the Body of Christ. Topics vary but are often focused on studying current topics youth are facing in today’s world. All are welcome to come join us.

LUMC offers many varying adult Sunday School classes for adults of all ages. So check out the descriptions below to find the right class for you.
True Believers & Disciples (TBD) – Meets Downstairs in Ministry Center – MC005
True Believers and Disciples meet each Sunday morning at 10 am. This adult sunday school class is for people who are looking to grow in their faith through small group Bible study, along with fellowship and community among each other. Video studies are often used which are then followed by guided discussion among the class. All are welcome and invited to join us!
Delos Corderman Fellowship Class – Meets in Asbury Hall (Room 120 of Main Building)
The Delores Corderman Fellowship Class is a reasonably mature fellowship of adult singles and couples that uses a discussion format each Sunday. Four to five books per year are used by this class. Biblical studies, ethics, current issues, and current church studies are some of the topics discussed.
G.I.F.T. Class – Meets Upstairs in Main Ministry Building, above Sanctuary (Room 205)
Couples and singles who meet to study a wide range of issues relating to life and faith.
New Life in Christ – Meets Downstairs in Ministry Center (Room MC007)
An adult class, which will challenge your thoughts, deals with personal, family and current event issues with a Biblical understanding. Fellowship and lively discussion highlight this class.
Open Door Class – Meets Downstairs in Ministry Center (Room MC009)
The Open Door Class is open to adults in all age groups. The class does in-depth study of the Bible, always seeking to discover how biblical truths can become part of our daily life.
