Lexington UMC started the Snack Sack ministry in back in 2004 to provide weekend meals to hungry school children over the weekend when they weren’t receiving school meals. This ministry continues today, with the Sack Ministry serving approximately 900 students from 15 schools across three school districts in Lexington County (Lexington School Districts 1, 2, and 3.)

Students receive 10-12 ready to eat or easy to prepare snack items each week.
